The heater is operated using standard household AC power and the heat generated is distributed throughout the engine by the convective flow of the warmed coolant.Agricultural, Industrial & Heavy Duty Applications:Caterpillar 3176 (10.2 Liter). Replaces 3/4' pipe plug on Right Rear Side of engine. Special high temperature cordset included in kit. Engine may also accept Oil Pan Heaters 8609683, 8609659, or 8609713 (requires 1' x 1/2' bushing to reduce port size). Cummins V903, VT903, VT350, Formula VT300 (903 C.I.D.) (Alternate installation). Replaces 3/4' pipe plug at bottom rear of oil cooler. Check engine to be sure 3/4' pipe plug is available on engine before proceeding.
